Bellabox: June 2012

The magical pink Bellabox is back! It does contain 8 items, as promised, from Biotherm, Kiehl’s, Lancôme, Ralph Lauren and Shu Uemura. And in the magical pink envelope I found Bellabox-exclusive discount coupons and offers, which make me feel so special. I’m glad I hung on for another month; last month I nearly cancelled my subscription after branding myself as not-a-samples-person. I am now considering making my membership annual. A girl just can’t get enough of pink and surprises!

The magical pink box!

It’s June… it’s time for a Summer Upgrade!

I opened the box and saw 8 lovely samples staring at me.

The 8 products for this month:
From Kiehl’s: Calendula Herbal-Extract Toner and Midnight Recovery Concentrate. From Lancôme: Génifigue Youth Activator and Blanc Expert Derm-Crystal. From Biotherm: White D-tox BB Cream and Laid Corporel Body Moisturiser. From Ralph Lauren: Romance. From Shu Uemura: White Efficient Gentle Cleansing Oil.

I am really excited about trying these, especially the Kiehl’s products and Biotherm BB Cream. I have a friend who uses the toner, midnight recovery concentrate and youth activator! And she says “they’re awesome!!!” Hearing such passion from someone whom I know just makes me more thrilled about this month’s box. Also, it is no secret that I am a big fan of BB/CC cream, especially Rachel K’s (I have blogged about it here). Because I adore Rachel K’s CC Cream, I wouldn’t really go out and search for other BB/CC creams. I wonder how the Biotherm one compares.

Bellabox’s new courier service: I have had to go to the post office for the past 2 Bellaboxes (in the scorching heat) because I kept missing Mr Postman, so I am delighted about the courier service. Nobody was at home to receive the Bellabox this time round, so Alex kindly contacted me (2 missed calls and 2 messages) and we managed to leave the box in the safe place. I’m glad I don’t ever have to make a trip in the heat to the post office anymore. Thanks Bellabox and thanks Alex!

Updates on May’s Bellabox:

I gave the Evanose Cellogist Youth Guard Cream (after finding that it was too rich for my skin) and the Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Gold Ultra Restorative Capsules to Mummy. I love the Macadamia Natural Oil because it does not feel too oily and does not have an overpowering scent. I like the Candydoll make-up base. I have yet to try the remaining products.

Bellabox: May 2012

So, last week I received May’s Bellabox and it is ‘Pamper Yourself, Pamper Your Mum!’ month! I received the following 5 products:

Evanose Cellogist Youth Guard Cream, Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Gold Ultra Restorative Capsules, Essential Damage Care Nuance Airy Shampoo and Conditioner, Macadamia Natural Oil, Candydoll (Powder Foundation, Liquid Foundation and Makeup Base).

I was disappointed that it was not the same pink box that I had raved about earlier, but I was sufficiently prepared to received this drawstring bag after reading BellaBox’s twitter updates. I was also disappointed by the Essential products, because they don’t seem particularly special.

So far I have tried the youth guard cream and the natural oil. I pampered myself double by pairing the youth guard cream with last month’s black tea quench mask; I applied the cream after washing the mask off. My skin certainly looked plumper and more radiant. The natural oil is actually a treatment containing macadamia and argan oils. It nourishes and rejuvenates my hair, and it actually helped my hair to dry faster! I am looking forward to try the restorative capsules soon. Capsules fascinates me.

I am considering halting my BellaBox subscription, despite it being very value for money. I am not quite a ‘samples’ person; I have tons of samples sitting around, unused. I shall give it another month, though, because I love pink and they might just bring it back.
